In case we haven't met yet, we are Robynn and Louis, your hosts at Nantahala Lake Chalet!
This scenic lakefront home has been in our family for nearly thirty years. We lived and worked here for three years before moving due to work, and are excited to share our piece of the mountain with you!
We sit in the midst of the Nantahala National Forest, on Nantahala Lake which is a high elevations lake (3,000 ft. with a private dock), with the chalet at a comfortable 3,300 ft. in a gated community. Surrounded by nature, you'll wake up to singing birds and fall asleep to the relaxing sound of crickets!

Lakefront Chalet with forest/mountain/lake views
Nestled where the Nantahala National Forest meets Nantahala Lake is our little piece of heaven. Here you can get away from your busy life and enjoy the relaxing lake life atmosphere and the cool mountain air.
Our chalet sits just above the lake where our private dock offers unparalleled views and easy lake access. It provides 2,600 sq. ft. of central air-conditioned/heated/dehumidified space (something to look for in a rainforest) with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen with new appliances. When you'd rather be outside, enjoy our balcony with a gas grill and fire table, decks, porch swings, and a dock.
We provide the perfect base from where you can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you need to be! The lake is great for activities like boating, skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, etc. while the forest offers trails (easy to advanced), waterfalls, white water rafting, tubing, ziplining, expansive vistas, wildlife, and more.
In the cooler months, snuggle up in front of the upstairs gas fireplace with a cup of your favorite beverage after building up a sweat on the trails!
